All students at Still Creek Christian Academy have access to our 88,000 square foot equestrian arena and all students are enrolled in either Western or English riding classes. They learn horsemanship skills in these classes and compete against others in their age group. Like our other athletic programs, the equestrian program does more than just teach practical skills to our students—it develops them from the inside out. By learning how to work with horses, they find a sense of pride and ownership in their animal, and those disciplines translate to all areas of life.
Still Creek students (both residents & community) are required to participate in horsemanship classes on a daily basis. Just as important as math, science, and history, so is the emphasis on learning basic horsemanship skills and safety. Horsemanship classes include a variety of Western and English skills and performance.
Our 88,000 square foot covered equestrian center is one of the largest arenas in Texas; often used by some of the most legendary names in the horse industry. Our equestrian program is home to over 50 superior performance horses and structured to prepare our students for Stock Horse of Texas and Pony Club competitions around the state. Our Equestrian Program gives our students a once in a lifetime opportunity to challenge and grow themselves for their future.
